If I just happen to have a Death Note but I need to hide it from L (say because owning such a thing would be illegal), then my method would remain the same. In any case, I think the best possible hiding place would need to be somewhere that suggests I don't access it regularly, somewhere you wouldn't consider to look, unless you knew for certain it was there.
